CONFERENCE:

Greek trade in the Mediterranean in antiquity

The conference aimed at specialized audiences, professionals, and students of archeology and history. 

The MAC presents the scientific days «Greek trade in the Mediterranean in antiquity», a professional day around the historical Mediterranean economy. Specialists from all over the country will review, based on conferences, the archaeological news and the current state of research around Greek trade in the Mediterranean between the 8th and 2nd centuries BC through the archaeological evidence provided by the amphorae.

At the Conference, coordinated by Xavier Aquilué (scientific manager of the MAC-Centre Iberia Graeca) and Miguel Àngel Cau-Ontiveros (director of the Institute of Archeology of the University of Barcelona), several renowned researchers participate as speakers in the field of classical archaeology, both from the point of view of terrestrial and underwater archaeology.
