The IAUB is an interdisciplinary centre with around 100 researchers and technical staff including permanent staff, postdoctoral researchers and graduate students. The IAUB and Barcelona offer an international and multicultural environment for research and living. The IAUB is located in Barcelona, considered one of the best World cities to live and work with nice weather conditions, a multicultural population, excellent cultural offers and many different neighbourhoods to match your preferences. Barcelona is also an excellent hub for science with a rich scientific environment including several universities, research centres and technology hubs across the city.
The IAUB has between its main objectives the attraction of talent and the creation of a safe and positive working environment.
We work to understand the transformation of humankind through time and space by studying its material culture. We offer a vibrant scenario with projects across the World with a full range of chronologies and with the possibility of specialization in many different subdisciplines within archaeology.

DOCTORADO-INphNIT-Retaining, Fundació La Caixa:
For graduate students pursuing a PhD” la Caixa” Foundation grants 65 Doctoral INPhINIT fellowships for talented early-stage researchers of any nationality to pursue their PhD studies in Spain or Portugal. This fellowships programme is aimed at supporting the best scientific talent and fostering innovative and high-quality research in Spain and Portugal by recruiting outstanding international students and offering them an attractive and competitive environment for conducting research of excellence.
POSTGRADUATE, Fundació La Caixa:
For graduate students pursuing a Master’s degree or a PhD abroad, ”la Caixa” Foundation grants 100 fellowships to carry out postgraduate studies at universities or centres of higher education in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), North America or the Asia-Pacific zone.
These studies can be at a Master’s or Doctorate level. Pre-doctoral projects for scientific and technical research are also eligible.

ICREA Senior and ICREA Academia calls:
ICREA offers permanent positions in the Catalan research system for senior researchers. The selected researchers are offered a position as ICREA Research Professors (equivalent to tenure) and become ICREA employees. ICREA researchers go through an evaluation process (promotion) at regular intervals throughout their entire careers. This is our most important and best-known call.
The ICREA Acadèmia call for applications is a grant to university professors who already hold permanent positions in the Catalan research system. The grant is for five years and is intended to promote the awardees’ research by relieving them from teaching duties.
