Short biography
In 2017, I graduated in Archaeology and History from the University of Barcelona. I specialized in Iberian Culture, focusing on the study of artefacts. Throughout my studies I participated in many excavations and different projects. I then began my Masters degree in Classical Archaeology (URV, ICAC and UAB). Where I was contracted into a Research program with the Group of Protohistory Archaeology led by Dra Carme Belarte (2019). When I finished my studies I worked as a professional freelance archeologist. Now I’m working on my PhD, titled “Study of the Meridional Sector on Puig de Sant Andreu (Ullastret, Baix Empordà), excavated by Miquel Oliva. Evolution and interpretation of urban neighborhood” directed by Dr. Jaume Noguera, Dr. David Asensio and the late Dr. Joan Sanmartí. This study is ongoing thanks to a FPI contract associated I+D project from the Ministery of science and Innovation.
Research interests
As part of my own ongoing professional learning I have been involved with many different side projects such as the management of the Laietan sites of Turó del Vent and Turó de Céllecs aswell as the cities of Ullastret and Vilar de Valls. My research activity focused on the study of materials from the protohistoric period, as well as the distribution networks of imported ceramics. From this we were able to understand the socio-economic functioning of Iberian societies before the colonists of the first millenium years BC. In addition, I have developed a knowledge of urban planning and Iberian architecture that I will apply in my doctoral thesis through topography tools, photogrammetry and vector drawings.
