Prehistorias: Cuentos de mujeres que forjaron el mundo

English: On February 11th, we celebrated International Day of Women and Girls in Science with a very special talk!
Dr. Marga Sánchez Romero introduced her latest book «Prehistorias: Cuentos de mujeres que forjaron el mundo» in a fun and thought-provoking event. It was a unique opportunity to learn about the author’s creative process in making women and girls visible in prehistory, as well as highlighting the importance of sharing a diversity of perspectives.
In addition to members and friends of the IAUB, the event also included the presence of girls and boys, all sharing an interest in the transformative power of science, archaeology, and plural, inclusive perspectives.
We also had the chance to listen to Dr. Miguel Ángel Cau, Director of the Institute of Archaeology at the University of Barcelona, and Dr. Octavio Torres, representing the Equality and Intersectionality Commission of the IAUB.

Catalan: L’11 de febrer vam celebrar el Dia Internacional de la Dona i la Nena en la Ciència amb una xerrada molt especial!
La Dra. Marga Sánchez Romero ens va presentar el seu últim llibre «Prehistorias: Cuentos de mujeres que forjaron el mundo» en un acte divertit i ple de reflexió. Va ser una ocasió única per conèixer el procés creatiu de l’autora a l’hora de fer visibles les dones i les nenes a la prehistòria i subratllar la importància de divulgar la pluralitat de perspectives.
A més a més de membres i amics de l’IAUB, la jornada va comptar amb la presència de nenes i nens, tots compartint l’interès pel poder transformador de la ciència, l’arqueologia i les visions plurals i inclusives.
També vam tenir l’oportunitat d’escoltar el Dr. Miguel Ángel Cau, director de l’Institut d’Arqueologia de la Universitat de Barcelona, i el Dr. Octavio Torres, representant la Comissió d’Igualtat i Interseccionalitat de l’IAUB.
