Short biography
I am PhD candidate (FI-AGAUR) in Prehistory, at the Department of History and Archaeology, University of Barcelona (UB) (Spain). I am researcher of the Seminari d’Estudis i Recerques Prehistòriques (SERP-UB) and the Institut d’Arqueologia de la Universitat de Barcelona (IAUB). I graduated in Archaeology from the University of Barcelona (2011-2016), and I graduated in Quaternary Archaeology and Human Evolution (2016-2018), University of Rovira and Virgili (URV) and Institut Català de Paleoecologia Humana i Evolució Social (IPHES-CERCA). I have ten years experience of Archaeologist. I worked in different prehistoric and historical contexts in collaboration with Catalan (Servei d’Arqueologia i Paleontologia, University of Barcelona, Autonomous University of Barcelona, University of Girona, IPHES-URV) and European (University of Ferrara, Italy, and University of Molise, Italy) institutions and universities.
My research focuses on charcoal analysis (anthracology), spatial archaeology (territory-settlement – GIS) and modelling of past landscapes (ecological niches of Mediterranean tree taxa – MaxEnt), analyzing the Late Upper Palaeolithic to the Early Bronze Age contexts from the NE Iberian Peninsula. My research focuses on human behaviour, mainly on human-environment interactions through two main perspectives: palaeoenvironmental restitution and the exploitation of woody resources used as fuel.
