Research interests

My research focuses on the field of: 1) regional and contact metamorphism of the Hercynian orogen (Axial Zone of the Pyrenees and Catalan Coastal Ranges): petrographic study and mineral chemistry to establish temporal relationships between deformation and Hercynian magmatism. 2) the Neogene fracturing of the Paleozoic basement of the Catalan Coastal Ranges: petrographic, geochemical, isotopic characterization of fault rocks and fills, to know its reactivation from the Hercynian to the Neogene postrift and the P and T conditions of formation. And 3) the study of the provenance of lithic materials based on the petrographic characterization of axes.
