Short biography

PhD in Contemporary History, from the University of Barcelona in 2008, with the thesis entitled: “Mass graves in Catalonia 1936-1939”, works as a professor of this subject at the same University. Specialist in violence during the Spanish Civil War and the Franco regime, especially in issues related to repression and exile, and memory, she is the top expert in Catalonia on mass graves and the disappeared from the Civil War. For this reason, she was responsible for the mass graves unit of the Democratic memorial of Catalonia, and he was also one of the 7 people from all over the State who were part of the Commission of Experts that was created by judge Baltasar Garzón to advise in these matters. Solé has taken part in several events on historical memory, including the one that took place in 2008, co-organized by the Museum of the History of Catalonia and the magazine Sàpiens, where she gave the conference De les fossas comunes de Catalunya al Valle de los Caídos.
